The Opportunity

The Marriage and Family Research Institute staff are dedicated to providing the highest level of quality service to each person who walks through our doors. Our staff are well trained with academic expertise in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, and other related fields. Our team works across multiple departments, including Administration, Family Services, Operations, Recruitment, Relationship Educators, and Childcare teams.

The Family Services Coordinator is a liaison with Family Strengthening Evaluation Team (FSET) and Project Harmony for data related purposes. They assist with IRB documentation and also assist with creating a social media presence by designing, implementing, and reviewing social media strategy to align with project goals. Additionally, this role is works with a partial caseload of couples and provide case management to program participants along with data management.

Responsibilities: 

  • Liaison with Family Strengthening Evaluation Team (FSET) and Project Harmony for data collection purposes. Assist with IRB documentation and approval for Project Harmony research activities. 

  • Maintain a partial caseload of couples by providing case management to program participants (e.g., build rapport with participants to support engagement and retention in Project Harmony, meet with participants at scheduled intervals based upon project and participants’ needs, & maintain up-to-date records for all assigned participants). 

  • Facilitate program and curricula coaching to face to face and on-line with Project Harmony participants. 

  • Participate in biweekly individual supervision meetings with supervisor and attend daily team check-in meetings, biweekly team meetings, and monthly all-staff team meetings to discuss benchmarks, challenges, and successes to delivering program. 

  • Assist with social media presence. 

  • Designing, implementing, and reviewing social media strategy to align with project goals. 

  • Ensure that services are provided in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, policies of the University of Central Florida, contractual obligations with the funding sources, and quality standards and practices to improve the efficiency and quality of work performance and work products. 

  • Work with others to ensure continuous quality improvement of services.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedln, 

  • Prefer candidate with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with customers and team members.

  • Knowledge of video editing and photo editing software.

  • Previous database experience (Qualtrics).

  • Presenter skills.

  • Able to work some nights and weekends based on programmatic need.
