THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING & ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR A NON-TENURE TRACK (NTT) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION BEGINNING JANUARY OR AUGUST, 2023.

Additional Basic Function – if applicable:

THIS IS A CONTINUOUS, RENEWABLE POSITION WITH A PRIMARY EMPHASIS ON TEACHING AND SOME RESEARCH AND SERVICE EXPECTATIONS.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL TEACH UPPER DIVISION UNDERGRADUATE AND MBA MARKETING COURSES DEPENDING ON THE CANDIDATE’S AREA OF SPECIALTY AND DEPARTMENTAL NEEDS (E.G., INTERNATIONAL MARKETING, BRAND MANAGEMENT, MARKETING MANAGEMENT, AND MARKETING STRATEGY). THE CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO DELIVER COURSES IN-PERSON, ONLINE, OR IN A DISTANCE LEARNING FORMAT.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MAY ALSO SERVE AS DEPARTMENT PH.D. COORDINATOR.

Minimum Qualifications:

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A DBA OR PH.D. IN MARKETING BY THE START OF THEIR APPOINTMENT AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY.

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

PREFERENCE FOR CANDIDATES WHO CAN START IN JANUARY 2023. A PH.D. IN MARKETING IS PREFERRED.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
