WUCF:

WUCF FM & TV are an NPR-affiliated public radio station and a PBS-affiliated public television station, licensed to and located at the University of Central Florida.

The Opportunity:

The Executive Producer is responsible and vital to carry out WUCF’s mission of serving as Central Florida Storyteller. This position will pitch and research stories, book talent, write, copy, shoot, edit and manage producers that help shape editorial high-quality content for WUCF on multiple platforms. This position may require on-air duties as the content warrants.

Responsibilities:

This position will manage the WUCF Florida Road Trip brand. The Executive Producer is responsible for the overall content creation and management of all things under this content stream, which is always subject to change. This position will potentially work as on-air talent on the multiple streams as well as write, edit, and acquire content. They are responsible for the overall brand as well as developing new audiences using multiple tools. Must be good at researching and telling stories using multiple different storytelling tools. Must demonstrate sound editorial judgment, hold the highest ethical standards, and have familiarity with broadcast and copyright law.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with documentary producing and/or historical storytelling.
