Position Summary

Executive Director, Finance Systems & Business Transformation (City of Hope National Medical Center; Duarte, CA): Provide leadership and oversight for enterprise financial systems. Assess, evaluate, and identify areas of systems integration to enable maximum efficiencies and best practices for finance systems organization. Partner with key stakeholders in finance, information technology, and human resources to strategize and identify future roadmap in support of enterprise growth and workforce support. Identify solutions and continuous improvement opportunities to support workstreams and strategic initiatives. Support long-term employee success with focus on hiring, coaching, developing, and building a high-performance team, including retaining talent for the Finance Systems organization. Collaborate with internal finance teams to define account strategies and prioritize initiatives based on value creation potential and opportunity size. Design and facilitate work sessions for senior leadership and cross-functional teams, generating content and exercises to meet specified needs and objectives. Improve City of Hope’s current and future business capabilities by identifying, prioritizing, and measuring key business value drivers (metrics). Advise executives and maintain relationships with leadership. Manage and sponsor initiatives across finance teams to strengthen the execution and capabilities of the organization. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

Optimizing business processes using industry best practices and digital technology: cognitive commerce, big data and analytics, machine learning, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, SAP, and Salesforce; leading end-to-end implementation of systems and process transformation projects: requirement gathering, fit or gap analysis, design and customization, implementation, and maintenance; implementing and providing thought leadership to streamline finance processes and increase process efficiency, including procure to pay, consolidations, revenue accounting, data-marts and management reporting, and supply chain; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system: financial reporting and analytics, Data Governance, and statutory compliance; implementing digital systems and process transformation using design thinking methodologies; quantitative analysis for business or financial modeling; financial strategy support and development; execution of value hypotheses, business cases, and commercial proposals; and experience with healthcare industry.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, plus ten (10) years of experience as a Management Consultant, Financial Manager, or related occupation
