The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) seeks an enthusiastic and talented individual to serve as the Development and Alumni Relations Associate II (Philanthropy Associate II). The Development and Alumni Relations Associate II will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day operations of the development and alumni relations office. Under limited supervision, the selected incumbent plans, coordinates, and oversees a variety of professional and administrative activities supporting all fundraising and alumni initiatives for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.

Primary Duties:
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Two (2) years of fundraising, philanthropy, or client/customer relations experience. Experience in administrative work or business operations preferred. Experience working in a higher education setting preferred.
Other: Related experience may be substituted for education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with using a development and alumni relations database (or comparable data management system) preferred. Must be proficient with computers and software, particularly Microsoft Office. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Has the ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities. Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.
Hiring Range: Low to mid-$50,000s; commensurate with education and experience.
