Clinical Assessments Officer

About the role
This is an exciting time to join the Leicester Medical School and our Assessment team.

The Clinical Assessments Officer within Leicester Medical School leads and plans the delivery and associated activities of all practical and clinical  assessments across the Medicine MB ChB curriculum. Working closely with senior colleagues and external stakeholders (NHS), the role holder will be a key member of the Assessment team and will contributing to decision-making and implementing processes that will support the development of the next generation of doctors.

The role will appeal to those with an enthusiasm for project management and process improvement. The School is expanding and its growth in student numbers creates an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to have a real impact in an area of strategic importance to the College of Life Sciences, the University and indeed, the local Healthcare economy. 

About you

You will be committed to high standards and have had experience in either OSCE management or significant event and/or project management experience.   

Your communication and interpersonal skills will help you engage with other others to quickly build relationships both internally and externally within the University as well as with stakeholders from external institutions, particularly the NHS. In particular you will be comfortable in negotiating and agreeing upon approaches that are mutually beneficial, taking account of time pressures and resource available to deliver clinical assessments. Driven by the importance of meeting customer needs you are able to ensure high quality administration services are in place and, as a pro-active member of staff, you will ensure the team tasks are delivered on time.

  You can work under pressure, being able to prioritise your own activities as well as that of a team.
