About the opportunity
Reporting into the Global Volunteers Manager, we are looking for a Campaigns and Volunteers Assistant who is a strong verbal and written communicator with a creative, inquisitive and ‘can do’ mind set. Key activities will include managing the alumni and supporter relations inbox and phone line on a daily basis, supporting database administration and supporter campaigns and volunteering events and activities.

has exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work within often very tight deadlines

is well organised to be able to provide project support and assist on updating the database, sourcing information and producing reports
is highly creative and can generate ideas and think outside the box. We are always looking at ways to creatively engage our most valued supporters, whether it is through small events, written communications or videos
is a team player to work with the wider alumni and supporter relations team.
About us
This role and sits within the Global Campaigns and Volunteers team. The team, in many respects, is the face of Alumni and Supporter Relations, being the first port of call for our alumni enquiries via the alumni inbox and phone line. This team is responsible for driving mass and bespoke connections with the University’s 420,000 alumni through domestic and international campaigns, and best-practice volunteering models. The team supports faculty-related event or programmatic requests.
The team supports our alumni connections via reunion activities, supports University wide initiatives such as the census, and develops experiential campaigns to engage our alumni on campus and via our digital channels.
The wider team is the Alumni and Supporter Relations team which engages with alumni and the broader community through a wide range of communications, events, community giving and engagement programs.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
