Job Description

What will you do? 

You will be a part of DevOps teams designing, creating, and maintaining solutions based on the modern cloud data technology in the stack. We work in a platform-oriented manner and that requires continuous dialog and collaboration within the team solving problems together.   

We partner up with colleagues from the various Vattenfall departments. We support them in not only building the reporting solutions, but we also help them in discovering options in our data products. 

Our solutions have a direct impact on financial steering, planning and forecasting of Vattenfall. 
 
Your tasks and responsibilities: 

• Consulting our customers inside the business departments of Vattenfall.
• Creating and maintaining data pipeline architecture with attention to performance optimization details.
• Implementing improvements of functional and technical design of current and existing solutions.
• Designing and building ETL processes.
• Building Data models and reports in Power BI technology.
• Preparing and performing go-live activities and creating application documentation
• Identifying and pinpointing data quality gaps, improving data quality and planning to close the gaps with your developments.
• Creating technical specification.

Qualifications

Who are you? 

As our  (job title) you show:

• Expertise in SQL (writing and optimizing complex queries; preferably in T-SQL or Snowflake dialects).
• Experience in writing clean and self-documenting code.
• Practical knowledge of code version control (preferably git).
• Experience with Azure DevOps (working with CI/CD pipelines, Repos and Boards).
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Practical knowledge of ELT and data warehousing concepts (preferably data lakehouses, medallion architecture, etc.).
• Experience in working with Power BI semantic models and Power BI reports.
• Good knowledge of DAX language and its usage in tabular models.
• Experience with dbt core.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Polish.
• Proven experience in working agile organization.
• Practice in experimenting with the solution design and openness in accepting assessment.
• Ability to transform feedback or requirements into prototypes and working solutions.
• Experience in translating customer requirements into product backlog items.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with SAP data.
• Good understanding of utility business processes and their IT landscape (SAP ERP, infrastructure and security regulations like GDPR).
