What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Projects & Initiatives, the Data Remediation Team Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our data remediation projects as we prepare our application for a future migration. The Team Lead will guide a dedicated project team tasked with completing multiple data remediation initiatives. These initiatives are essential for ensuring that our data is accurate, complete, and ready for seamless migration to the new platform.
The Data Remediation Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the data specialists and associates within the team. This includes managing workloads, setting priorities, and ensuring that all team members are aligned with the project’s goals. The Team Lead will also take the lead in providing training to team members, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
Regular reporting and updates to senior management will be a key component of this role. The Team Lead will be expected to present progress reports, highlight any potential risks or issues, and propose solutions to keep the project on track. By maintaining clear communication and fostering a collaborative environment, the Team Lead will ensure that all project deadlines are met and that the data remediation process is executed to the highest standard.

How You’ll Succeed
Team Leadership and Training : Coach and guide a team of analysts and peer associates towards achieving successful project completions. Set clear goals, timelines and expectations. Provide constructive feedback and motivate team members to attain high performance results. The Team Lead will develop and deliver training programs for team members, including creating job aid materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to ensure that all team members are proficient in their roles and contribute effectively to the project’s success. Respond to audit requests and examinations in order to comply with the data quality requirements intended for migration.
Data Remediation and Reporting : Plan data remediation activities from a documentation and process perspective, including consideration for data quality principles, data cleansing and validation techniques which identify and resolve data discrepancies. Present complex information clearly and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders. Create detailed reports and provide project updates to the Projects & Initiatives Director as well as senior management. Work with Fenergo and other CLM applications in order to understand how to read AML/KYC data. Collaborate and align with the mandate of both the Capital Markets Client Onboarding and AML Risk Review teams.
Project and Change Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously, creating milestones and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time. Plan activities using both project management software and change management methodologies. Implement various aspects of a successful change including, awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement towards the overall project’s success. Deal with escalations independently and address issues using problem-solving and time-management skills.
Who You Are
You have relevant experience. You have 3-5 years of working experience in the financial, technology, or relevant industry along with a good understanding of KYC/AML Regulatory requirements and processing infrastructures. Experience working with Client Lifecycle Management applications such as Fenergo, and previous experience leading Data Remediation projects will be a strong asset.
You have a degree in finance, business, mathematics or science, that showcases proven foundation to work with data analysis.
You have knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets infrastructure, systems/applications, and businesses/products as well as Client Onboarding procedures.
You’re digitally savvy. You bring excellent reporting skills using MS Office or other data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI, to produce relevant analysis, reports, and display data to meet the needs of the project and Stakeholders.
You know that details matter. You notice things that others don’t. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.You are vigilant in delivering results, have strong attention to detail, good planning skills and the ability to overcome obstacles. You maintain a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.
