Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage offers undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs aimed at preparing students: (1) for advanced study in the social and health sciences, and (2) to become members of the behavioral health workforce. The department strives to offer degree and certificate programs that meet the needs of the state of Alaska. With more than 400 students and 15 faculty members, the UAA Psychology Department is Alaska’s largest center for the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Evidence of a potential for successful teaching and service activity.
Typical Experience:
Length of time and type of experience required for this position should be appropriate to the rank of tenure track assistant professor. Applicants must have university-level teaching experience.
Required Education or Training:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Successful applicants must be Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA or BCBA-D) and license eligible within the state of Alaska at the time of hire in August 2023.

Salary Information:

This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary (DOE) and full employee benefits package , with an expected start date in August 2023.
