The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Anschutz Medical Campus (https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/pharmacology ) is seeking applicants to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the broad area of cancer research, with a focus on, but not limited to, cellular and molecular biology, basic and translational research, and/or big data methods development. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in studying mechanisms that drive cancer development, progression, and/or metastasis using in vitro , ex vivo and/or in vivo model systems and will incorporate principles and practical applications of pharmacology in their research program.
The department is a collegial and collaborative interdisciplinary scientific group, with strengths in cancer research, structural biology, epigenetics, neuroscience, cellular optogenetics, and systems biology. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative with a research program that complements the research portfolios of the primary faculty in cancer research in the department. Our faculty currently have strengths in gene expression, signal transduction, epigenetics, chromatin and structural biology, novel technology development, pharmacology, systems modeling, and in vivo models to study mitochondrial dynamics, cellular stress response pathways, mechanisms of genomic alteration, novel treatments, disease development, Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition, phenotypic plasticity, and chemoresistance in cancer.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established at Assistant Professor $110,000 to $135,000 and Associate Professor $125,000 to $150,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
