Job Overview

Support the creation and implementation of strategies to provide faculty support in the design and development of online courses. Serve as a liaison between college and university personnel, faculty, and students for online course design. Work to create a culture of quality, successful student experience in online learning.

Essential Functions

• Consult, design, develop, and deliver training to further best practices in online education and establish and develop the skills in online learning technology.
• Collaborate, develop, and implement strategies for enhancing online learning and the online learning community within the university.
• Promote and coordinate the university’s online learning and quality assurance initiatives.
• Develop and/or edit content for internal or external publication related to the university online learning community, online learning standards, and online learning best practices.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in online/blended course design, curriculum development, faculty development, teaching, or other related area.
