Summary of Job Duties:
The Mathematics Department at UA Little Rock is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor. This position requires faculty to have a strong commitment to teaching and research as well as service in support of UA Little Rock’s mission. The department offers undergraduate degrees in mathematics, a master’s degree in mathematical sciences, a graduate certificate in applied statistics, and advises Ph.D. students. Applicants should provide evidence of potential for excellence in both teaching and research. Teaching duties include both undergraduate and graduate classes in standard load aligned in UA at Little Rock. Evidence of publications, presentations, and/or project funding will be desirable for research. Service will include serving on committees within the department, the college, or the university. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
