Assistant Manager, Academic (Undergraduate Studies)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, CCEB Academic (Undergraduate Studies) office is looking for a responsible and performance-driven individual, with a can-do spirit, to join them in supporting CCEB’s mission in developing and grooming new generations of young engineers and scientists, who will be equipped with the competitive edge to be the leaders of the future in solving real-world multidisciplinary issues.

The candidate is required to work closely with all relevant stakeholders within NTU, in delivering on all tasks within the Academic (Undergraduate) scope, including

Responsibilities

UG Course Matters

• Curriculum Management

• Implementation and communication of policies and guideline

• Adopting new work system

• Semester Timetabling and Course Registration

• Exam Matters

• Internship and exchange coordination

• FYP/IRP/URECA matters

• Website content

• Review and streamline of workflow

• Processing tasks including
  – Process LOA, Course Change, Exemption, reinstatement etc
  – Student Feedback Matters
  – Maintain proper documentation, archival and updates of UG materials e.g. study plan, syllabus etc

Others

• Accreditation

• Supervising and motivating assigned staff (if applicable)

• Secretariat duties

• Any other duties/projects assigned by RO

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the education sector

• Prior experience in a relevant administrative role in an institution of higher learning will be advantageous

• Strong people management and leadership skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Self-motivated, resourceful and flexible in adjusting and responding to changing priorities

• Ability to work independently and as a team, personal initiative and team spirit in the effective implementation of projects

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, multi-task and deliver with quality and timeliness

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational abilities

• Organised and meticulous with an eye for details

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
