The Opportunity:
UCF Advancement seeks an Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement for Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
This position is eligible for hybrid remote work with supervisory approval.
This position supports five core areas within the Foundation’s Advancement operation: volunteer management; events; communications; annual giving; and alumni and friends engagement. This position oversees all aspects of alumni engagement, following best practices, to ensure that the Rosen College of Hospitality Management engages its constituencies in support of the college’s initiatives and development efforts. The position is designed to advance the goals of UCF, the UCF Foundation, and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management by meeting engagement and fundraising goals through planning and implementing programs and projects that strategically engage UCF alumni and friends. Supports UCF Alumni Engagement by developing and executing events and programs through regional, college-based and constituent chapter and club programs. This role is responsible for collaborating with colleagues within UCF departments, development, and colleges to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation.
Responsibilities:
Advancement Professionals lead, coordinate or support activities related to fundraising and public relations targeting current and potential donors and the alumni community.
Alumni Engagement Professionals engage alumni in the life of the university. Providing measurable forms of alumni behavior that lead to building a stronger bond with the institution. Includes outreach, chapter management, communications, local and regional events, programs and career services and other forms of connection with alumni.
Leadership- Oversees the direction and activities of a chapter including recruitment, training, managing, reporting and evaluation. Manages a portfolio of annual giving prospects, working to engage and increase annual support. Coordinates alumni and chapter communication. Communicates with committee members regularly regarding chapter and college-wide initiatives and events. Identifies, recruits, and develops relationships with alumni to promote involvement in alumni chapter initiatives. Directs reporting processes and ensures data integrity.
Relationship Development- Develops and executes on annual and long-term strategic goals that connect alumni and build their affinity to the university. Partners with professional industry organizations. Forms collaborative working relationships with internal and external constituents. Serves as primary liaison between UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, the College, and the College’s Alumni Chapter to ensure mutual understanding and support of each organization’s priorities.
Event Management and Participation- Develops and executes annual alumni events. Represents the college at various external functions on and off campus, and within the metro-Orlando area. Coordinate with the Chief Advancement Officer and the UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving to staff key university initiatives throughout the year, including but not limited to college-based engagement events, football tailgates, regalia distribution, bowl games, and homecoming activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred prior higher education or non-profit advancement, alumni/constituent engagement experience.
