The Stout School of Education at High Point University invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position to serve as ASCEND Program Coordinator. The position is federally grant funded for three years beginning October 1, 2022, and ending September 30, 2025, with the option of project continuation for an additional two years. This position reports to the Director of ASCEND and the Dean of the Stout School of Education.

Education and Licensure
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field.
Experience and Training
- Candidates must have a minimum of five years of successful fulltime work experience
- Candidates who have experience managing programs or projects with quantifiable impacts are preferred
- Candidates who have experience working with federal grant programs are preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Online Learning Management Systems (BlackBoard, Canvas, Moodle)
- Virtual Meeting Tools (Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet)
- Learning Technologies for Engaged Online Learning
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating communication among the university and 18 regional school district partners that are members of the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium;
- Marketing, promoting, and recruiting for the Graduate Certificate Program to current principals and central office employees such that program activities are sustainable after the grant funding expires;
- Planning and coordinating meetings and events for 50 ASCEND educators per cohort;
- Monitoring student success and progress throughout the program of study;
- Processing budgetary requests and purchase orders through the university’s procurement system;
- Managing program operations at the request of the Director of ASCEND;
- Working with an external evaluator to collect, analyze, and report out on program effectiveness data;
- Maintaining program information on the school’s website.
