We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to support the development and delivery of the new MSc in Clinical Neuroscience Practice which commences September 2023. The postholder time will work with the incoming course team from January 2023 to build the programme.   From September, their time will be spent on teaching, assessment, pastoral care and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance.  This post is ideal for a trainee in any neuroscience speciality (e.g., neurology, neurosurgery, stroke, neurorehabilitation, clinical neurophysiology, neuropsychiatry) who wants to pursue a career in medical education and academic medicine.

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Successful track record in medical education
  • A good understanding of the neurobiology, clinical features, management and lived experience of common clinical conditions in the neurosciences
  • Passion for delivering great teaching and for student welfare
  • Awareness of how neuroscientific knowledge and care has been shaped by structural factors such as colonialism and patriarchy
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised
