| Job Description: | The UF/IFAS Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is seeking a leader to provide overall direction, coordination, administration, and leadership for the statewide EFNEP. EFNEP is a federally funded program that teaches income-constrained families how to eat healthy on a budget and be more physically active to reduce the risk of obesity and chronic disease. Join us to create a healthier Florida! What is EFNEP EFNEP is a free nutrition education program for families with limited resources. EFNEP collaborates with community partners across the state to improve food and physical activity behaviors. Peer educators teach adult and youth participants in a series of lessons how to stretch food dollars, eat nutritious meals, and improve overall health following research-tested curricula. The Opportunity You will lead the day-to-day operations of a signature Extension program impacting thousands of Floridians each year. As the state’s premier land-grant university, UF offers free educational programs through Extension to provide solutions for everyday problems facing Florida’s families. As part of Extension, you will be joining a network that has served Floridians for over 100 years. You will lead a passionate team and be an ambassador for University of Florida, IFAS Extension, and EFNEP to local stakeholders. In this role, you can expect to: Leadership

What We Are Looking For
Additional Details This is a time-limited, grant funded position. This position may be approved for a permanent remote work location or a hybrid work schedule between home and office. Those outside of Gainesville are encouraged to apply. The EFNEP state office is located at UF’s East Campus on Waldo Road in Gainesville, FL. The position has flexibility to permanently work from home but must be able to visit the office for in-person meetings as requested by the supervisor. | Minimum Requirements: | Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. |
