Essential Duties
  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with any member of the CCCC student body to discuss reading and or writing assignments
  • Offer strategies for writing across various disciplines
  • Provide resources to help improve and enhance writing and reading skills among the student body
  • Provide a summary and assessment of each tutoring session per CCCC tracking requirements.
  • Scheduling appointments
  • General administrative tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Associates Degree in related field, or
  • 18 or more completed college credit hours in an English, reading, writing, or education related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Requirements
  • BA in English or journalism plus 1-3 years writing center experience.
  • Specialized courses in professional writing, aspects of the English language, literature, or journalism.
