FoxTrot Aviation Services is seeking a consistently hard working Aviation Supervisor who is committed to reliable quality service, customer relationships, and building a rock steady team. Based at the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD)1-3 years management or supervisory experience preferred, be willing to perform very physical work, and have open schedule availability.The role is responsible for reliable quality service for our customers (80% cleaning work/20% office work). This means leading jobs on a daily basis to successful sign off and FoxTrot standard. Supervising daily operations, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards, leading efforts in the cleaning, detailing and application/removal of Corrosion inhibiting compounds to aircraft.1) Aviation Supervisor is responsible for building and supervising rock steady teams, with the collaboration with the home office.
- Maintain positive, daily communication with the team
- Set elevation goals (development plans) for each team member with the help of leadership
- Train team members in quality work, checklist use, and safety
- Work with the back office to post ads, then interview and hire team members based on our 5 values of GRIT, Solidarity, Client Focus, Safety, and Accountability. Work with the back office to ensure timely badging and onboarding
- Complete disciplinary forms to document employees
- Advocate for raises for quality team members
- Helps other teams and drives to other locations to ensure network wide strength
Success metric is less than 35% annual full time turnover at the location2) Working Aviation Supervisor is responsible for assisting with services, to make sure jobs are completed in a timely manner. Non-license technician work includes:
- Wash Prep and Wet Washed of exterior of aircraft,
- CIC removal and reapplication through gear well systems and structures. Requires working in confined tight spaces. While wearing proper PPE , face respirators, eye wear, hazmat suits.
- Lubrication of gear well and landing gear.
- Floorboard Removal and Application, vacuuming. Being able to bend and flex for extended periods of time.
- Seat Track cleaning
- Insulation Retraction and replacing. Requires being very organized, able to focus for extended period of times.
- Completing checklists after every job to ensure quality control
- Organizing the right size team to clean aircraft that come in all shapes and sizes
- As the work is going on, ensure safety is upheld to the highest standards
- Take stock inventory and place orders with the logistics manager
Success metric is 100% checklist compliance and no quality complaints3) Maintain Customer Relationships by close communication with the customer, clients and stake holders. This will involve setting and changing the schedule on a daily basis to meet customer needs.
- Go up to customers personally to collect a schedule daily, along with email and phone communication.
- Addressing quality concerns or special requirements related to aircraft maintenance and detailing.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Ensure the team has enough hours at work to meet goals set
- Give customers great experiences, whether its uncommonly great cleaning, or good conversation
Success metric is hitting revenue goals and receiving customer compliments through our feedback systemThe Aviation Supervisor reports to and works with the location Operations Manager to ensure 7 day per week coverage for FoxTrot’s Clients. Both positions report to a Regional Manager.Skills
- 1) Lifting up to 50lbs, bending, and twisting
- 2) Working with a high level of detail 8 to 10 hours per day
- 3) Medically cleared to operate heavy machinery and perform all physical work.
- 4)Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confided spaces and heights.
- 5)The candidate needs to be excellent at communication
- 6) The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work, due to frequent changes in the client schedule
