About the Job
We currently have two opportunities available for dedicated individuals to join as Workforce Coordinators and have overall responsibility for coordinating workforce and sessional operations administration across the Schools and Academic Operations Unit in accordance with relevant policies, processes and procedures within the University.
Reporting to the Manager, Workforce and Sessional Operations, you will be required to have a proactive approach in planning, improving processes and providing authoritative advice to all stakeholders. This includes liaising with People & Culture and other central university areas, and having responsibilities in areas of recruitment administration, HR processes and facilitating payment validation for ongoing and contract staff.
Time fractions are negotiable for both positions, with one or both to be fractional.
About you
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written, with the ability to communicate, liaise, work in a team environment, and with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues.
- Strong organisational and proven time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines; prioritise activities, manage competing priorities and to respond to ad-hoc and time critical deadlines.
- Well-developed knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary Human Resources procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly proficient computer skills, in particular MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor degree with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
