Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator will work with the Executive Producer to oversee the implementation of a quality educational experience for students centered in American popular music with a focus on outreach, individual development, and talent development. The Program Coordinator will oversee intern-driven projects including production of print materials and promotion for shows and touring, copy and content for webpages, social media, and recruitment. Work with Wisconsin Union staff on management of financial and business process, stakeholder communications and program marketing. Assist with travel, event management and rehearsals as needed.

Responsibilities: Provides subject matter expertise in the development and execution of programs within the scope of student learning and development. Organizes the facilitation and development of curriculum design for on-going and new educational initiatives. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • 20% Creates and maintains schedules, logistics, and resources for one or multiple student affairs programs, activities, and/or services
  • 20% Organizes student-focused programming and resources to promote new and ongoing educational initiatives
  • 10% Serves as a subject matter expert regarding student affairs to internal and external stakeholders
  • 10% Generates and analyzes reports of curricular and unit outcomes
  • 20% Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns
  • 20% Serve as alternate for groups travel, event management, and rehearsals as needed

Ideal candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience with arts management or marketing, or comparable business experience.

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position requires some evening and weekend hours.

Minimum $46,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Additional Information:

The Wisconsin Union operates two buildings on the UW-Madison campus. The Wisconsin Union is a financially self-supporting division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for the organization is provided by income earned by twenty-two food service units and a variety of nonfood units such as games, guest rooms, space rentals and campus vending. Substantial support is also provided by student fees. The total annual organizational budget is approximately $45 million dollars.
Student Affairs is led by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Our staff is dedicated to serving students and to helping them succeed in and out of the classroom in areas including health and well-being, identity and inclusion, leadership and engagement, and student advocacy. Student Affairs includes departments led by the dean of students; departments that provide identity-based spaces and leadership resources; the Wisconsin Union; University Health Services; and University Recreation and Wellbeing.
