Job ID: 2435The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises the Dean’s Office, a StudiesServiceCenter (SSC) and four institutes.
The position to be filled is located at the Chair of Clinical Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence (Prof. Dr. Martina Zemp) at the Institute of Clinical and Health Psychology. Our department investigates family risk and protective factors for mental disorders in childhood and adolescence in basic and applied research. The methodological focus includes research approaches with outpatient assessment and behavioral observation of family interactions. We offer excellent working opportunities (including a newly established observation laboratory in the faculty’s research, teaching and practice outpatient clinic, ) with the possibility of a relevant doctorate under good supervision, a young and motivated working team as well as international collaborations and intensive support for young researchers.Find out more about us:Your personal sphere of influence:As a University Assistant Praedoc you will complement the research team and take on the following tasks:
- Planning, conducting and analyzing empirical studies
- Advanced statistical analyses (dyadic data analyses, multilevel analyses, structural equation modeling, etc.)
- Publication of research results in international journals
- Active participation in national and international scientific conferences
- Participation in science communication activities
- If necessary, participation in the acquisition of funding
The position is limited to 15.11.2025.Your future tasks:
- You will be actively involved in research, teaching and student support.
- You will be involved in research projects and scientific studies and publish your findings in scientific journals.
- You will write your dissertation on the central research topics of the Clinical Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence working group (dissertation agreement is expected within 6-12 months).
- Participation in and independent teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
- You will participate in meetings, conferences and symposia.
This is part of your personality:
- Degree (Master’s or Diploma) in psychology
- Strong interest in research in the field of clinical psychology of childhood and adolescence, especially in the main topics of the working group
- Previous experience in planning, conducting and statistically analyzing empirical studies
- Good knowledge of quantitative analysis methods and motivation to deepen methodological skills
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Ability to work in a team
- High organizational talent and commitment
- High level of initiative and independence
- Motivation to participate in university teaching
Desirable are:
- Initial experience in scientific publishing
- Initial teaching experience
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
