Welding Instructor
Black River Technical College
Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Welding Instructor at the BRTC Paragould location. This is a 40-hour week, 12 month faculty position.
Position Description
The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in MIG, TIG, ARC, and PIPE welding at the Black River Technical College Paragould location. Additional activities include recruitment for the welding department, advisement, course development and committee attendance.
Applicants will be working with both college and high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.
The position will be located at the BRTC Paragould location.
Qualifications
This person must have a minimum of an Associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The candidate should possess welding certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS); inspector certification preferred. Additional certification from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in welding is also desirable. Candidates with any of the following will be given preference: Teaching experience, OSHA trainer certification.
Applicants must be willing to continue their education through technical training and professional certifications.
