Description of Work Unit | Colorado State University is home to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station. The college is home to five academic departments – Agricultural Biology, Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics, Animal Sciences, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, and Soil and Crop Sciences. At 10 research centers in communities throughout the state of Colorado, AES investigates potential improvements to food production and agribusiness. In the context of a changing climate, CAS and AES meet global challenges in food safety, food security, wellness and economic prosperity through the sustainable use of natural resources. Position Summary | A vital member of the College of Agricultural Sciences communications team, the Website Specialist provides project management and content development leadership for the College of Agricultural Sciences’ website redevelopment project. This is a part time (20 hours per a 40 hour week) position. This position plays a critical role in the college’s web communications, with particular focus on planning, management, and execution of priority needs for the college’s website redesign. This position develops website content utilizing best practices related to usability, consistency, findability, currency, and accessibility. The position also develops website policies and offers support and training for website users and admins. The position requires strong communication and client management skills, and an understanding of the web development process and how to create and optimize web content. The position reports to the Director of Communications. |
