The Office of Information Technology has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Web Analytics Support Specialist position.

This position will have the exciting opportunity to be a part of a fun, supportive team and collaborate with our web community to identify opportunities to provide the best web experiences possible.

A few examples of what we are looking for a Web Analytics Support Specialist to do: 

  • Develop, execute and iterate on the overall web site health checks service plan across multiple areas and ensure effective delivery of web analytics support services.
  • Synthesize analytics data from Siteimprove, Google Analytics and Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager and web teams’ subject matter experts to consult with site owners regarding opportunities for web site improvements.
  • Engage involvement of subject matter experts throughout the customer journey (Accessibility, Information Architecture, User Experience, User Interface, Web Development, Product Owner, etc.)
  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders from across campuses to ensure web analytics support efforts drive achievement of University web goals and objectives.

Qualifications

We also have a few Minimum Requirements:

Education and Training

  • Completion of four years of college with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with major emphasis in Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Learning Technologies or a closely related field.

Substitution

  • Professional experience managing client support, client relationships or communications may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of web analytics, technical training or in a service delivery role (or closely related role) in an organization.

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

And would love to see these additional qualifications, but they are not required:

  • Experience in Web Analytics and/or Training in a technical environment
  • Experience building websites using a Content Management System (Sitefinity is University CMS).
  • Experience in launching enterprise-level web sites or commercial software products
  • Understanding of UX practices and principles
  • Experience with a product management approach to software development
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with strategic product roadmap(s)
  • Experience working with teams using SCRUM and Agile practices
  • Technical aptitude

Conditions of Employment:

This position may require some occasional weekend and evening assignments as well as occasional availability during off-hours for participation in both scheduled and unscheduled activities.

This position is eligible for fully-remote working locations. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $65,000 to $80,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
