The W. P. Carey School of Business, in cooperation with the ASU Scholarship Office, believes in recognizing and rewarding eligible incoming first-year business students with funding assistance. Our numerous scholarships are funded through many sources including private businesses, corporations, foundations, alumni, and individual donors.

This application applies only to incoming fall 2023 first-year students. Only students meeting this requirement will be considered.

The application process is competitive and selection is based on varying criteria such as GPA, leadership and community service in high school, academic major, class level, financial need, and residency classification.

-Some of our scholarships may require students to demonstrate financial need. To determine financial need, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted by the student. Complete the FAFSA at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ in order to be considered for financial need based scholarships.

-If awarded a scholarship, students must register for a minimum of 12 credit hours at ASU each fall and spring for award disbursement.

Application information

-The application is a multi-step process that consists of academic and employment information, short essay questions, and resume submission.

-First-year applicants should answer essay prompts based on their high school experiences.

-Essays play an important role in the selection process. Applicants essays should demonstrate to the committee why they are the best candidate for the scholarship.

-Students are also required to submit their resume into the application. Your resume should include school involvement, community service, educational accomplishments and leadership positions as well as work or internship experiences. For easier readability include appropriate spacing and format as well as dashes (-) in place of bullet points.
