the Position:

University Law School is seeking applicants for a Visiting Professor
position.  This is a full-time, one-year, term limited position. 
This is a benefits eligible position.  The selected candidate will teach
Property, Comparative Law and Conflicts of Laws during the 2023-2024 academic
year. Candidates must have demonstrated and specialized legal expertise in
areas to be taught and significant teaching experience.


of course materials that meet the expectations and policies articulated by the
Law School’s Curriculum Committee and the Office of Academic Affairs, and as
required by the American Bar Association’s accreditation standards and any
additional expectations of Science and Society. Candidates must be available to
teach each week of the 13 weeks of both semesters, except as requested or
approved by the Law School Office of Academic Affairs. The selected candidate
must also be available to students outside of teaching hours, through timely
responses to emails and through office hours.  The Visiting Professor will
be responsible for appropriate and timely feedback to students, including
evaluation and grading of student coursework. 


–      Graduation
from an ABA-accredited law school

–      At least 2
years of significant practice or policy experience in the areas of identified

–      Minimum of
10 years of successful teaching experience at an ABA-accredited law school

Documented, specialized legal expertise in identified areas of need

–      Ability to
develop and deliver organized, accurate and coherent legal coursework

–      Effective
communication of complex legal information to students both orally and in

–      Effective
and respectful communication with students

–      Ability to
provide responsive and constructive feedback to students
