Length of employment is flexible and contract is renawable pending department needs. While the area of expertise is open, our priority need is research methods courses and other courses in the person’s area of expertise. The person hired for this position will be expected to teach 4 courses per academic semester with the opportunity to teach in the summer if desired. The successful candidate must also be able to hold dedicated office hours and participate in limited additional department service. The person hired for this position is eligible to receive full benefits, which can be found .Required Qualifications: (1) an earned masters or doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology or other social science discipline, with subject matter expertise open; (2) the ability to teach courses in research methods (study designs; descriptive and inferential statistics); (3) prior teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness; (4) the ability to create a sense of inclusion and belonging in the classroom, and to infuse multicultural content into course material as appropriate; (5) strong commitment to excellence in teaching, including an appreciation of or engagement in high-impact teaching practices; (6) ability to contribute to the Jesuit educational mission of the department and university.Application and Timeline: You will be asked to submit 1) a cover letter, 2) curriculum vita, 3) evidence of teaching effectiveness, and 4) a statement of teaching philosophy that explicitly addresses the position summary and incorporates a clear understanding of Loyola’s Jesuit mission.
