Job Description:

The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Veterinary Community Outreach Program (VCOP). VCOP is designed to introduce veterinary students to the challenges of veterinary practice in both community and shelter environments and give experience in spay and neuter techniques of potentially adoptable canine and felines. This position requires a strong knowledge of veterinary nursing care and techniques especially in the field of anesthesia and surgery.

This position is considered essential personnel and requires a post-offer health assessment.

Expected Salary:

$18.00 – $25.00; Competitive salary based on credentialing and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Veterinary Technician II: Credentialed veterinary technician.
