Veterinary Hospital Manager

Birchmount Animal Hospital , located in Scarborough, ON., is thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual like you to join our leadership team as Hospital Manager .

Our Hospital Manager, under the guidance of the Regional Operations team, along with the support of and input from the Area Medical Director, performs a wide range of administrative activities related to overseeing the practice’s business operations. With a passion for client service excellence and fostering a collaborative, mentoring team culture, some of the responsibilities and attributes for this role are:

• Experience, minimum 2 to 3 years; experience in supervising medium size teams (20+)

• Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills by fostering positive relationships, providing coaching opportunities, and promoting quality patient care and excellent client service

• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents and community

• Adaptable; the ability to adapt to change in a growing multifaceted client service and animal health industry

• Driving and managing positive change in processes, people, and growth through effective change management

• Hiring, and developing the veterinary, technical and administrative staff toward the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service

• Participating in monthly P&L reviews, budget forecasting, operating plans, cap-ex expenditures, and evaluation processes with the Regional leadership team

• Administrative skills: scheduling staff, document control, filing, various reporting and coordinating office services (equipment/supplies/forms/procedures)

• Able to maintain strong client and local community relationships
