Animal Care Attendant, Client Care

Location: Ottawa, ON

Blair Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a dependable and outgoing Animal Care Attendant to join our team! This opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. A few attributes and qualifications are:

• Take initiative and work independently 

• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment 

• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively 

• Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings

• Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients

• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments

• Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate an asset

• A love for all companion animals!!
