Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Computer skills and abilities sufficient to perform duties.
Knowledge of chemical hygiene, hazardous materials, job hazard analysis. Ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, polices, regulations and practices. Strong analytical an problem solving skills. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information .
Typical Experience: At least two years of experience post baccalaureate in a field relevant to the duties of this position.
Required Education or Training: BS in chemistry, occupational health & safety or other related field.
Salary Information: This is a part-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and employee benefits package . There is a potential of additional hours through grant funding. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience.
