The Role and the Department
The Vice-Chancellor’s Office sits at the heart of the University’s administration, providing support to the Vice-Chancellor and Warden.
Reporting to the Executive Officer, but also working closely with the Personal Assistant and Diary Coordinator to the Vice-Chancellor, the post holder will be required to provide a first-class professional administrative support service whilst maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
The Administrator will have responsibility for administrative support to the Vice-Chancellor. The main aspects of the role are to provide a professional and effective front of house service which reflects positively the work of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The Administrator will contribute to the processing of financial information to and from the Vice-Chancellor should the need arise and contribute to the development of systems and process to further benefit service developments.
The role needs to be covered Wednesday to Friday, with the possibility of working from home on a Friday, subject to the operational need on a weekly basis.
The VC’s Office is co-located with the offices of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost and University Secretary and their direct support teams, with whom you will work closely.
