What you’ll do…
As a Walmart Software Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions. You will Work with product, business owners to understand the product requirements and change request. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies.
About Team:
Everyone has data, but the sheer volume of data at Walmart can be limitless. In the Data Engineering team, we help Walmart manage this data by building pipelines and data lakes to prepare big data for analysis and unlocking actionable insights in real-time. We also use cross-departmental data and machine learning to build a holistic view of true profitability, saving millions of dollars across item categories and geographies while assisting our leadership in making better decisions faster.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable, high-performance software solutions.
- Take ownership of full-stack development, front-end and back-end components. Having Data Engineering skill is an added advantage.
- Utilize your expertise in Spark/Scala, Python, Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and microservices to create robust and efficient applications.
- Design and optimize databases using SQL and NoSQL technologies for data storage and retrieval.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Work with cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure to build scalable and secure applications.
- Develop and optimize queries using Big Query to analyze large datasets.
- Create responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with the team to perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 2 years of experience in Full stack Software Engineer.
- Experience with strong focus on Kafka, React, Spring Boot and Cosmos.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases for data modeling and querying.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP and Azure for deploying and managing applications.
- Experience with BigQuery for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid knowledge of front-end technologies such as React JS, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Ability to work in an agile development environment and deliver high-quality code within deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
