Summary of Duties:
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Upward Bound programs in Mary Walker and Wellpinit high schools in Stevens County. Upward Bound is a federally funded academic support program that prepares and motivates low-income, first-generation and academically at-risk high school students to successfully pursue a college education. Upward Bound offers an academically challenging year-round program, including tutorial services, monthly meetings, quarterly workshops, a local and residential summer program, college visitations, career advising, cultural events, and assistance in applying for financial aid and college admission.
Coordinates program services supporting low income and first-generation college students in completing high school and enrolling in higher education and assists parents in supporting their children’s academic success.
Assists in serving as liaison with high schools, builds positive working relationships with key community stakeholders, provides counseling and academic advising, and tracks student contacts. Conducts orientation workshops for students and parents, assesses student needs and develops an academic service plan for each student.
This position is located in Stevens County, Washington.

Monthly Salary: Range 38, $3,096 – $4,013–Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
