• representation of the subject Composition with focus on Electroacoustic Composition in the development and exploration of the arts and in teaching
• teaching in central artistic subjects
• supervision of students (diploma, bachelor and master studies)
• Participation in artistic research at the mdw (including supervision of artistic dissertations)
• collaboration in the development and realisation of musical/artistic education objectives in the field of composition/music theory with regard to a new curriculum
• contributions to organizational, administrative and evaluation tasks
• auditing activities

Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is a minimum of € 6.362,50 (14 times/year). • excellent qualifications in the subject of composition, especially with focus on Electroacoustic Composition, to be demonstrated by an extensive and distinguished compositional oeuvre in the field of electroacoustic/electronic music in addition to instrumental/vocal music
• active artistic practice in the focused field
• pedagogical and didactic experience in education and/or continuing education relevant to the specific field of music composition

Specific Requirements

• teaching experience in the sector of post-secondary education relevant to the specific field of music composition
• artistic work that can be linked to areas of computer music, live electronics, digital sound synthesis and algorithmic composition
• comprehensive knowledge of the current relevant hardware and software combined with extensive programming experience
