Then join our accomplished team!Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsSpecific RequirementsYour personal sphere of influence:As a university assistant prae doc, you will complete the research team around Professor Franz-Stefan Meissel and take over tasks like teaching and researching in the areas of Romance European Private Law, History and Comparison of Private Law and Civil Law.Our Team Prof. Meissel currently consists of 0.5 post docs, 1 prae doc, student assistants and administrative colleagues.We strive for first-class research and highly committed teaching.Your future tasks:You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• You are involved in research projects and academic studies.
• We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• You work on your dissertation and its completion.
• You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
• You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
• Contribution to publications and scientific articles
• Lecturing activities

This is part of your personality:

• Completed Master’s degree or Diploma, in the field of law
• Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods
• Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
• IT user skills
• Desireable knowledge is independent academic work in areas such as Roman law, civil law, comparative private law, history of private law.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Latin
• You should be a team player with high social skills
• Knowledge of university procedures and structures
• Experience abroad
• Institute experience
