As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation, in the Research Unit of Cartography TU Wien is offering a position as University Assistant Prae-Doc (all genders) limited until December 31st, 2025 or at the latest until the duration of leave of absence for 30 hours/week. Expected start: October 2024.Tasks:

• Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations
• Cooperation and guidance of students
• Research and project activity
• Writing a dissertation and publications
• Participation in scientific events
• Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in Cartography, Geoinformation or a related field
• Demonstrated ability in scientific work, particularly experimental cartography and cartographic user studies
• Previous experience in the field of Cartography (not required)
• Very good skills in German and English communication and writing
• Interest in research in the field (in particular controlled user studies, eye tracking) as well as supervision and work with students
• Very good communicative skills and team competences and innovative ability
