As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Institute of Visual Computing and Human-Centered Technology, in the Research Unit of Computer Graphics TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited until February 29th, 2028 for 30 hours/week. Expected start: July 2025.Tasks:
- Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations
- Cooperation and guidance of students
- Research and project activity
- Writing a dissertation and publications
- Participation in scientific events
- Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Master or Diploma degree in Computer Science or equivalent university studies in Austria or abroad
- Very good knowledge in Visualization, Visual Analytics, and Computer Graphics
- Very good programming skills (e.g., Python, C++)
- Very good communication skills and ability to work as an independent and flexible researcher in an international and diverse team
- Teaching in German and English in the area of Visualization and Computer Graphics is expected – Very good skills in German and English communication and writing
- Being curious, creative, and enthusiastic about research
Favourable Qualifications and Skills:
- Interest and expertise in large-scale visual exploratory analysis of unstructured data
- Interest in supervising students – teaching experience is advantageous
- Publication experience
