As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.We are looking for a PhD candidate to work at TU Wien, at the Institute of Visual Computing and Human-Centered Technology, in the Research Unit of Human-Computer Interaction. We offer a position as university assistant (prae-doc) limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours. Expected start: June 2024.We are searching a talented PhD candidate to help us build an expand Human-Computer Interaction research at TU Wien. TU Wien is expanding its HCI research group with the goal of delivering more world-class research into the future relationship between humans and technology.The focus of the position is on designing new interfaces for physically active users. With more than half of Europe’s population being physically active, the focus of new technologies should shift from persuading users to be active to making physical activity more engaging. This project focuses on supporting users as they develop proficiency in sports, building systems that support growth while also helping better integrate physical activity in social lives, facilitating reflection and ensuring wide participation.Tasks:
