As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.The Institute of Engineering Design and Product Development, Research Unit of Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering TU Wien is offering a 4 year position as university assistant (prae-doc) for 30 hours/week. Expected start: April 2024.Tasks:

  • Research and project activity in the field of both computational and experimental musculoskeletal biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering
  • Writing a dissertation and publications
  • Participation in scientific events
  • Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
  • Assistance in teaching and supervision of diploma theses and student projects

Your profile:

  • Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent until the time of occupation
  • Fulfillment of the admission requirements for a doctoral or PhD program according to the regulations of TU Wien
  • Experience in the field of biomechanics and/or rehabilitation engineering rated positively
  • Experience in experimental work with test setups is rated positively
  • Experience with common software packages and specifically software for 3D CAD design
  • Didactic skills
  • Very good skills in German and English communication and writing
  • Interest in research in the field as well as supervision and work with students
  • Very good communicative skills and team competencies and innovative ability
