As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation, in the Research Unit of Geophysics TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (prae-doc) limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours/week.Tasks:

• Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations
• Cooperation and guidance of students
• Research and project activities related to the characterization of geophysical responses of organic contaminants and soils
• Writing a dissertation and publications
• Participation in scientific events
• Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in one of these fields: Geophysics, Geodesy and Geoinformation, Environmental Engineering
• Experience working with electrical and electromagnetic methods at the field or laboratory scale.
• Knowledge of spectral induced polarization (not a prerequisite)
• Very good skills in German and English (communication and writing)
• Interest in research in the field as well as supervision and work with students
• Team competences, skills to resolve problems and innovative ability
