The University of Vienna (20 faculties and centres, 184 fields of study, approx. 10.400 members of staff, about 90.000 students) seeks to fill the position from 01.04.2022 of a University Assistant (prae doc) at the Department of Marketing and International Business Reference number : 12795 The Department of Marketing and International Business at the University of Vienna invites committed applications for University Assistant (praedoc) at the Marketing research group (Prof. Dr. Christoph Fuchs). The advertisement is for 4 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months. Duration of employment: 4 year/s Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement : §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade. Job Description: Successful candidate will engage in the following activities: 1. Contribute to the teaching and research activities of the Marketing research group with a focus on Consumer Behavior and Consumer Psychology, Marketing and Technology. 2. Participate in publications, academic articles and presentations. 3. Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement in Marketing. 4. Write a doctoral thesis, we expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 month. 5. Additional Tasks: supervision of students, involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposium, Involvement in the department administration as well as in the teaching and research administration. Profile: MA or MSc in the study field of Business Administration, Psychology or a comparabel degree (e.g., Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science), interest in quantitative methods, excellent command of written and spoken English. Excellent skills in statistics and statistics software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, etc.). Beyond any formal requirements, we are looking for highly motivated, curious students who are willing to take on responsibility and go the extra mile. GMAT test score, Experience in scientific writing (in English), Programming skills (e.g., Python), Experience in data collection and analyses (e.g., experimental research). Research fields:
