Welcome to our team!RequirementsSpecific RequirementsYour personal sphere of play:Your future position is at the Institute of Theatre, Film and Media Studies and is subject to the professorship for Theory of Film. The position is limited to 4 years and should be filled as soon as possible.Your future tasks:Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You build up an independent research profile.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You supervise your students.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in subject film and media studies, main focus on film studies.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching, research and administration.
- Independent research project (e.g. habilitation)
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing.
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1) / other foreign language.
- IT skills
- Team player and high social/communicative skills
In addition, we expect the successful candidate to have:
- Teaching experience / experience of working with e-learning
- Experience of working on research projects
- Publications in renowned, subject-relevant media (peer-reviewed, depending on the professional standards)
- International presentation experience
Desirable qualifications are:
- Knowledge of film and cultural theory
- High level of independent teaching and research
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience abroad
- Experience of supervising students
