As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Institute of Solid State Physics, in the Research Unit of Complex Oxide Systems TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (post-doc) limited to expected 6 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: May2025.Tasks:

  • Deep interest in scientific problems and the motivation for independent and goal-oriented research
  • Independent teaching or participation in teaching and supervision of students
  • The ability to develop methods, concepts, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute in interdisciplinary scientific projects
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Your profile:

  • PhD in experimental condensed matter (preferably in oxide heterostructures)
  • In-depth knowledge of the research area, publications, presentations
  • Skillful and responsible in experimental work
  • Experience in growth, transport, magnetism or/and is advantageous
  • Knowledge in programming is useful
  • Interest in research in the field as well as supervision and work with students
  • Very good communication skills and team competences and innovative ability
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory; good skills in German are preferred.
