As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, in the Research Unit of Computational Statistics TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (post-doc) limited until August 31st, 2026 or at latest until the duration of leave of absence for 40 hours/week. Expected start: July 2025.Tasks:

• Research activities in the field of computational statistics
• Teaching and participation in examinations
• Project work and leading project groups
• Publication activities
• Participation and organization of scientific events
• Supervision of students
• Assisting with organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your profile:

• Completion of an appropriate doctorate and in-depth knowledge of the subject area Statistics
• Experience in national and international research cooperation as well as in project management and presentations
• Interdisciplinary work
• Experience in teaching and publication activities as well as interest and pleasure in research and work/support with students
• Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
• Excellent command of the English language and very good communicative skills and team competences
