UKRI Research Network Coordinator (Neurotechnology Network for Chronic Pain)

The role involves acting as a project coordinator for a 3 year multi-center research network, funded as part of a UKRI strategy to develop UK-based research networks that develop responsible innovation and enhance capability in neurotechnology. Oxford leads a network devoted to chronic pain neurotechnology, with other network members at Cardiff, Glasgow, Plymouth and Exeter universities. This role involves management and coordination of the network as a whole, and in particular includes i) arranging workshops, symposia and meetings; ii) managing an educational and mentorship program for early career researchers, iii) helping to organise lab exchange , iv) preparation of reports for publications, v) working and communicating with charities, public and patient representatives, and other stakeholders to further the goals of the network, vi) liaising with international and industry partners

For this role you will need to be motivated with the ability to work independently and flexibly to deliver project goals within deadlines set by the department, be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills to manage working time and to meet deadlines as well as competence with software and IT as required for preparation of spreadsheets, website content maintenance and simple data handling competency.

It would be desirable if the candidate could also show evidence of experience of research methods in the domain of chronic pain, biomedical engineering or technology and had Experience of working in higher education or a research environment, especially a clinical academic department.

Candidates based in the UK will be able to work remotely however there will be occasional meetings in Oxford that will need to be attended in person.

The post is part time for a 3 year fixed term in the first instance.
