Two 2-Year Limited-Term – Lecturer or Assistant Professor
Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University, seeks two dedicated educators to join our leading edge Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing with over a 100-year history of academic and research excellence. The School is one of seven in a progressive Faculty and offers academic programs in nursing at undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. A new state-of-the art building for the School opened in January 2017.

These are 2-year appointments as Limited-Term faculty members. Compensation and rank will be commensurate with educational qualifications and experience. The successful candidates will support the continuing evidence-based development and delivery of the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (PHCNP) program according to curriculum needs. Responsibilities will include classroom teaching and service to the School, Faculty, University, and profession as appropriate. Successful candidates may, depending on qualifications, have the opportunity to contribute to educational and/or research scholarship to advance evidence in the field.

The successful candidates will have a strong understanding and demonstrated application of adult learning principles; a learner-centered philosophy of teaching, learning, and evaluation; teaching experience at the graduate level; recent nursing practice; and clinical teaching experience. The successful applicants will also have a demonstrated capacity to contribute substantively to an inclusive and diverse academic community. Knowledge and expertise in teaching and learning in flexible learning and simulated learning environments are assets. Applicants will be Registered Nurses in the extended class (NPs) and hold a current license entitling them to practice with no restrictions with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The minimum educational requirement for these positions is a Master’s degree in Nursing.

Support for research development is available through the Nursing Research Unit, the Faculty, and University. The anticipated start date of the appointments is July 1, 2025 or as negotiated.
