Job Description

This position assists faculty with installation and maintenance of turfgrass and ornamental, field and container trials. The individual will assist with planting, fertilizing, and hand weeding of research trials, along with collecting data on plant growth and development. This is an off-campus position at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension center (HRAREC) located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Basic computer skills, knowledge of turfgrass and nursery crop maintenance and experience with data collection in an agricultural research setting is preferred.

Required Qualifications

Basic computer skills, knowledge of turfgrass and nursery crop maintenance and experience with data collection in an agricultural research setting is preferred. Interest working outside on plant science research projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with turfgrass and ornamental maintenance.

$14.00 – $16.00 hourly; commensurate with experience
